Kuta Bali, the Amazing Sun Set View

With a long, broad beach on the Indian Ocean Kuta was originally discovered by tourists as a surfing mecca. Today Kuta is a showcase of excessive development gone wrong. It is a chaotic, tightly packed mass of concrete and congestion with a run down infrastructure. The beach is overrun with touts and most serious surfers have headed elsewhere.

This belt is by far the most popular and whitest beach in Bali, attracting all ages and nationalities. The beach extends from Canggu to the airport in Tuban. It is ideal for those wishing to combine a beach holiday with testing their surfing skills. Kuta beach continues to grow in popularity and is a fantastic place to soak up the warm sun.

Kuta is Bali's busiest region and a trip into the shopping and nightlife areas is a must for all age groups. There is a great selection of restaurants and bars and whether it be day or night you will always find something to see and do in Kuta. The nightlife is many and varied and goes on long into the night.

The 5km long arcing white sand stretch of Kuta is still arguably the best beach front on Bali. The beach is safe, partially clean, well-maintained, although the vendors remain annoying. Kuta is far from the fishing village it once was: it is now a Pacific resort and its streets are clogged with traffic, particularly during the peak seasons of July and August.
